http://www.mangafox.com/ is a site that sells itself, I got the idea of including them in a posting from my girlfriend.
Manga fox contains a large selection of free Manga scans, top quality too. You don't even have to register to read them. It is user friendly and very reliable. Go and read until you can't read anymore.

Bored at home and want to watch something quick?
Note: This post is geared towards those who have a taste for Asian films and Japanese animation. However, I recommend all of my non existing readers (FOR NOW) give it a chance.
This is a longshot, the site I am about to post about requires an invite to join (it didn't when I joined a few years ago) and currently I have three invites. I am willing to invite any three people that post asking me to invite them, just give me your email and we can take it from there. I am not asking for anything in return though.

AznV is a media streaming site, at least that is a simple way of putting it. It host a variety of movies from various asian countries with users having the ability to request or suggest films to put up.
AznV is free to use but if you buy streaming credits, you get higher quality streaming and access to more media.
So it isn't free, completely, but it is very worth the price. $5USD gets you 30 hours of streaming credit, no catch. $10USD gets you 75 hours and $15USD dollars, an extreme account, is a one month unlimited account meaning that you can watch even more than 75 hours worth of content in that single month for just $15USD.
Getting an invite code doesn't mean you are obligated to join and pay for credits.
I am not getting anything out of writing about AznV, I just really like the site and it has been up and running strong even before I joined about 3 years ago. I usually find myself bored and wanting to see a good movie, so I turn to AznV which cuts the wait time for downloads and contains a user rating system so I know if what I am going to watch might be something I like or not.

READ THIS TO GET FREE ANIME
Like anime and want to learn how to download free episodes at great speeds, and above all amazing quality? For free, of course!
This guide will provide you with some good websites and tools that are essential to all anime fans globally. You can buy the anime episodes, of course, but not when the episodes are currently airing in Japan.
To start us of, I present: http://a.scarywater.net
Years ago when I first started getting more exposure to the internet, http://a.scarywater.net
was one of the first places I found that directed me to the world of torrent.
What is torrent? Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.torrent
BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer file sharing protocol used for distributing large amounts of data. BitTorrent is one of the most common protocols for transferring large files, and by some estimates it accounts for about 35% of all traffic on the entire Internet.
The protocol works initially when a file provider makes his file (or group of files) available to the network. This is called a seed and allows others, named peers, to connect and download the file. Each peer who downloads a part of the data makes it available to other peers to download. After the file is successfully downloaded by a peer, many continue to make the data available, becoming additional seeds. This distributed nature of BitTorrent leads to a viral spreading of a file throughout peers. As more seeds get added, the likelihood of a successful connection increases exponentially. Relative to standard Internet hosting, this provides a significant reduction in the original distributor's hardware and bandwidth resource costs. It also provides redundancy against system problems and reduces dependence on the original distributor.
Or to put it in simpler terms: You start to download via the .torrent file which takes bits and pieces from others who have used a bittorrent client to download the same file, be it a song, movie, or anime. Those people are sharing it, letting others download from them. In turn you do the same while you download and after. This, of course, never disturbs you while you continue to work on your computer or while you are away from it.
Popular clients include: Utorrent ( www.utorrent.com/ ), Vuze ( http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ ) also formerly known as Azureus, and a classic, BitTornado ( http://bittornado.com/ )
What I currently use is Utorrent ( http://www.utorrent.com/ ), so far it has not failed me.
So I mentioned http://a.scarywater.net
but why? Well if what you want is anime, and I assume you do, then http://a.scarywater.net
has a list of torrent trackers by fansubbing groups. There you can find anime series that have already been subtitled.
Of course, http://a.scarywater.net
is an older site.
Try this one: http://www.animesuki.com/
Animesuki provides pretty much the same service as a.Scarywater except that it has a lot more series, more fansub groups and newer releases.
